A lifelong computer geek & music/movie fan, Corey Scribner has dabbled in many realms of digital media production. He's played jazz (saxophone), designed/developed web sites, directed/edited numerous industrial videos, led a media design department for an international corporation, produced a couple podcasts that became AM radio shows, founded a record label, and created an internet comedy series. Corey is currently executive producing the upcoming DVD release "Two Rooms in the Valley", directing a music video for the band "Cars & Trucks", and writing reviews for JazzReview.com. Recently, Corey joined digital creative agency The Buddy Group as a specialist in audio/video for the web and account management where he enjoys working with a wide variety of clients and creative professionals.
A Moderately Accurate Timeline
1989: First picks up saxophone. Obsession with jazz begins.
1990: Designs model railroad product line. Hires 3 employees.
1992: Opens up first computer case. Begins building systems for family & friends.
1993: Gets invovled with BBS systems, IRC, MUDs, etc. Starts playing jazz professionally.
1994: Graduates high school. On to college to pursue business degree.
1996: First corporate job fixing computers. Puts down saxophone to focus on school.
2000: Shifts job to web design/development and video production. Early adopter of streaming audio/video services with RealMedia.
2004: Moves to management of media design department for a division of a Fortune 500 corporation.
2005: Starts jazz podcast, obtains radio syndication. Starts record label, releases first album.
2006: Partners with his actor-slash-father to form a video production company. Obtains distribution for the long-format prodcution "Two Rooms in the Valley" and creates the internet series "The Leonard Who Show".
2007: Joins digital creative agency The Buddy Group as a specialist in audio/video, account/project management and creative strategy.
