Corey was born in the state of Wisconsin on the south shore of Lake Superior. His family moved to Anaheim, California when he was 8 years old so his father could try his hand at acting. Corey's initial ambition in life was to be a jazz musician. He played saxophone and was lucky enough to know some of the jazz greats, who helped guide his way in the crazy world of music. Through their guidance, he was convinced to pursue an alternative means to earn a living. So, he enrolled in business school. He did independent web design for some small companies and a few jazz musicians in the late 90s, and was lucky enough to have that personal work translate into a full-time web/media design position at a large corporation. The corporate job taught Corey a lot about business both domestically and internationally and has allowed him to lead projects encompassing Technology, Design and Marketing.
All the while Corey's love of music and movies remained strong and in 2005 he saw a dream of his become a reality -- a syndicated radio show. What began as a simple podcast turned into something much larger and Red Jazz Radio was born. That same year he was approached by drummer Evan Stone and Red Jazz Records was founded to release Evan's debut album as a bandleader. The album received tremendous praise and airplay on more than 50 radio stations worldwide. Nowadays, Corey spends most of his free time working on another dream, producing films with his dad. Father and son are wrapping up their first picture in early 2008.
